Set Limits Before You Play: A Practical Guide
Why limits matter
Setting a deposit limit before you play helps you control how much ringgit you can move from your bank or e-wallet into your gaming account. Without a pre-set cap, it is easy to transfer more than you planned. A session limit does the same for time spent in the lobby.
The platform lets you set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit caps in ringgit. Session limits automatically log you out after a chosen duration. Both tools are available in the account settings menu. Use them before you make your first deposit of the day.
Where to find the settings
Log into your account and open the main menu. Look for a section labelled "Responsible Gaming", "Account Limits", or "Safety Settings". On most sites, it appears under the profile icon. If you cannot find it, check the help page or search the lobby for "limit".
Once inside, you will see two options: deposit limit and session limit. Some platforms also offer loss limits, which cap how much you can lose in a period. Select the type you want to change. The interface is usually in English, but some sections use Bahasa Malaysia.
Setting your deposit cap in ringgit
Choose a realistic ringgit amount based on your monthly entertainment budget. For example, a weekly limit of RM200 means you cannot deposit more than that in seven days. Enter the figure and confirm. The change takes effect immediately for new deposits.
The site will ask you to select a period: day, week, or month. Once set, you cannot raise the limit for at least 24 hours on most platforms. Lowering it is instant. If you use Touch 'n Go or FPX, the cap applies across all methods, so check your e-wallet balance first.
Configuring session time limits
Session limits work in minutes. Open the session limit option and pick a duration, such as 60 or 120 minutes. When the timer runs out, the lobby will lock your account for the remainder of the day. You cannot extend a session once it starts.
This feature is useful if you tend to lose track of time. The platform sends a warning a few minutes before the session ends. If you want to play again, you must wait until the next calendar day. The timer resets at midnight based on the site's server time.
What to check before confirming
Review your current balance in the account summary. Subtract any pending withdrawals from your ringgit total. Then compare that to the limit you are about to set. If your balance is higher than the limit, you cannot deposit more until the period resets or you lower the limit.
Also check the expiry date of your current limit. Some platforms apply limits permanently until you change them. Others reset weekly or monthly. Write down the date you made the change. This helps you plan future deposits via DuitNow or bank transfer without surprises.
What the answers mean
If the site rejects a new deposit, it means your current limit is already reached. You cannot override it. Wait for the period to end or adjust the limit downward. A lower limit is always allowed. This rule protects your budget from impulsive increases.
If your session is locked, you have used all your minutes. The answer is simple: stop playing until tomorrow. The platform does not allow you to delete session limits. This structure keeps your time and spending in check. Use it as a routine before every session.
